THE GOTAMBÓ EXPERIENCE

The Gotambó Experience offers "Hidden Rhythms" workshops, created at the intersection of African rhythms and Argentine Tango. Rather than a conventional class, the format is a progressive live process where rhythm and movement are developed in stages.

At the heart of this experience, rhythm is the center of the room, worked through a shared system of dancers and professional live music.

The journey extends beyond the workshops into a vibrant Milonga night, featuring breathtaking dance performances and live musical sets that bring the "Hidden Rhythms" to life. To complete this immersion, the atmosphere is enriched by the authentic flavors of African gastronomy, creating a holistic space where professional art, social dance, and ancestral soul meet in a single, shared heartbeat.

Rhythm & Expression

Workshop 1
Dancers + Percussion
Level

Para web_edited.png

The first of the Hidden Rhythms Workshops opens the rhythmic relationship.

Dancers and percussion begin together, because the body has to meet rhythm before anything else can be built. Here the work begins in pulse, syncopation, repetition, pause, and weight change — in that living space between the beats where the dance begins to speak. This is where the body starts to listen

differently, where timing begins to breathe, and where the first layer of expressionrises through movement.

Body & Structure

Workshop 2
Dancers + Piano

Once the rhythm has been set, the piano enters. The second of the Hidden Rhythms Workshops begins to gather the body inside the rhythmic field that has already been opened. Weight, grounding, form, and intention begin to settle. The

body is no longer only responding — it begins to organize, to hold, to shape.

What first appeared as instinct starts to take structure, and the expression becomes clearer in the way the body carries the music.

Phrasing & Musicality

Workshop 3
Dancers + Violín
Level

The third of the Hidden Rhythms Workshops introduces violin and opens the layer of phrasing. If percussion awakens the pulse and the piano gives the body structure, the violin draws out breath, line, suspension, tension, and release. Here the expression begins to open further — not only through rhythm or form, but through phrasing, tone, and emotional direction. The body starts to move with greater articulation, and the dance begins to breathe outward.

WHAT IS RECEIVED THROUGH THE JOURNEY

With rhythm, with the body, with musicality, and with the experience of creating in relation to others, pulse is met. Time is met. Tension is met. Pause is met. Rhythm is no longer only something heard, but something carried. The body is no longer only moving, but listening. Musicality is no longer accompaniment, but something lived through relation. And within that, another meeting begins too — with one's own rhythm, and with the rhythm of being with others in a shared field.

The Hidden Rhythms Workshops path is cumulative. Each stage builds the next. What emerges at the end

is shaped by the people present, by the music that was opened, and by the heartbeat that formed between

them.
